Robyn: It sounds like you use a windows PC. I'd suggest trying Microsoft Movie maker instead of the Canon software.

However, if you start wanting to edit movies I'd save yourself the headache and buy a Macintosh. Plug that camera in, open iMovie, edit and save to dvd, internet, email, etc. Way easier then Canon and Microsoft options.

Love the size, weight and clarity of the videos and pictures!

I do need some help though. I got the Vixia HF200 for Christmas. Not sure how to work it all yet, but I recorded my son's basketball game on it. When I took out the memory card to watch it on my computer, the game wasn't on the memory card. It's on the video camera, so I'm assuming it's on a hard drive in the camera somewhere. I thought this camera recorded to the removable memory disk. Any help with this?

I could hook it up to the tv fine and watch it.

I followed all the steps to download it to the computer with the cords (not the memory card). I followed all the steps. It seemed to have downloaded onto my computer, but since it didn't let me designate the folder, I don't know where they are (or if they really got down loaded).

Any advice you could give would be appreciated!

[...] We tested with a couple different size cards, but we feel that its better to have two 4GB or 8GB than one 16GB card. That way you can still be recording with one card while the other card is copying. Another good option is a dual memory card recorder like the Canon VIXIA HF200.
