Have not purchased this yet, but probably will within the next week or two. I work for a history museum and we plan to use this primarily for collecting oral history on video. I've seen a couple of reviews that raise questions about the audio and in any case we plan to use an external mike. Has anyone out there got any rercommendations about possible options? DOes Canon make an external mike uption, and if so how does it perform?

Please forgive our ignorance here, but we're just starting out, and have a limited pudget for this first step. Thanks for any advice you can give!

This has a welcome addition for those who want to shoot in cinema mode. 1080/30p is also still supported with spectra coating (to reduce flare and ghosting). Excellent!
