One Comment Rating: 4.5/5.0

The SanDisk 16GB Extreme® III 30MB/s Edition SDHC High Performance Card was introduced in 2008 and initially supported the Nikon D90Digital SLR camera. Although there aren’t many cameras that match up the speed of the SanDisk 16GB Extreme® III 30MB/s Edition, Nikon D90 and other high-end DSLR cameras can utilize this speed for continuous shooting or high definition video. This card is the high-end of the Sandisk Extreme flash memory card line, and also an upgrade to the regular 20MB/s edition.

With Sandisk’s Enhanced Super Parallel Processing (ESP) technology, you can expect extreme performance with this flash memory card with its lightning speed and dependability. Users now have the liberty to shoot more photos and videos on HD mode and high resolution settings. It is compatible with any DSLR camera that has a SDHC Memory Card slot. Downloads of pictures to your computer could be limited by the performance of your memory card reader, so prior to purchasing ensure that the transfer speed of your card reader is compatible with the SanDisk 16GB Extreme® III 30MB/s Edition to get the best performance.  Needing to buy a special card reader to get the benefits of the card is a setback for the  SanDisk 16GB Extreme® III 30MB/s Edition.

Tested for its durability and extreme speed, this flash memory card is recommended for individuals who shoot photos or videos under extreme weather condition and have continuous speed optimization. It can with stand extreme temperature conditions from -13 degrees Fahrenheit to as high as 185 degrees Fahrenheit.   That’s aside from its capability to withstand even high altitudes and harsh environment. You will never miss a great opportunity to shoot videos and photos at even the most unexpected places and conditions. Designed for fast writing, it is optimal for continuous shooting without waiting for the camera buffer to clear.   Coming from Sandisk, a leader in producing high quality flash memory cards, this card works perfectly in terms of storing your precious photos and videos and upload those on a computer in a nick of time. With a read and write capacity of 30 MB per second, it can match at least 200 times speed on a CD drive, allowing photo and video content offloading such a breeze.  And that is amazingly at least 8x faster that the classic VI SDHC memory card. Professional photographers really love this flash memory card not only for its speed but also for its reliability. It is now offered in 16GB, so you can have everything all packed in, from high resolution photos to HD videos.
